"Tommy Knocker"

Tommy Knocker Beer

Tommy Knocker Brewery has been making quality beers in the Rocky Mountains for 10 years. Since the beginning they have won many awards and continue to receive awards. They believe that this can be explained by their consistency and because their beers are so drinkable. They bottle a vast variety of flavors and styles so that any pallet will find a beer to drink. They offer light and easy to drinks beers all the way up to full bodied darks and anything in between. And, they’re always bottling a new seasonal beer throughout the year, so there’s always something new to try.

Beers offered at WSL:

Maple Nut Brown Ale - A delicate amount of Maple syrup is added to each barrel of their award winning Maple Nut Brown Ale to impart roasted sweetness. This addition balances the nut flavor produced by Munich caramel and chocolate malts used in the brewhouse, producing a drinkable dark amber ale with a relatively low alcohol content. 1996 Great American Beer Festival Bronze Medal. 1999 NABA Silver Medal. 2000 World Beer Cup Gold Medal. 2002 GABF Bronze Medal. 2002 NABA Silver Medal. 2003 GABF Bronze Medal.

Ornery Amber Lager - Amber with an Attitude! The brisk flavor, rich ruby color, and extra crisp finish create a sensation that will ripple the taste buds of the most discerning palette. Ornery Amber is brewed with a blend of the finest European hops and gently roasted malts. 2000 North American Brewers Assoc. Silver Medal. 2002 NABA Silver Medal . 2002 World Beer Cup Silver Medal. 2002 CO State Fair Gold Medal. 2003 CME Vail - Best Lager. 2003 NABA Gold Medal.

Jack Whacker Wheat Ale - An American-style wheat ale brewed with 30% malted wheat and 2 row barley. Low hopping rates allow the refreshing aroma and citrus flavor of a late addition of lemon grass to dominate. This unfiltered beer retains all of its protein, flavor, and some of its yeast, resulting in a traditionally cloudy appearance. 1998 Westword Mag. "Best of". 2000 North American Brewers Assoc. Gold Medal. 2002 CO State Fair Best Wheat Beer. 2003 Westword Mag. "Best of".

ButtHead Bock - This award winning doppelbock (8.2% alcohol by volume) lager is brewed with a generous supply of Munich, carapils, caramel and chocolate malts and is fermented with Bavarian lager yeast. The resulting caramel sweetness and rich mouthfeel are complimented by the mild bittering of German Hallertau hops. 1997 Great American Beer Festival Silver Medal. 1998 Westword Mag. "Best Of". 1999 NABA Silver Medal. 2002 NABA Bronze Medal. 2002 US Beer Championship Best of Rockies. 2003 GABF Gold Medal.

Pick Axe Ale - A classic English Pale Ale dominated by pleasant hop bitterness and aroma. Dry hops impart unique aromas and flavors that add to the complexity of this ale. Their Pick Axe uses a blend of hopping: British Columbia Bramling, Czech Saaz, and British East Kent Goldings which melds into an award winning flavor. 1997 & 2000 Great American Beer Festival Silver Medal Winner

Trail Mix - A variety pack with six distinctive brews.

These beers are offered at WestSide Liquor currently, however, more are available throughout the year as they come out with their seasonal specialty beers. Stop in and try one today!!
