Welcome to Westside Liquor’s monthly wine newsletter. It is our goal to spread the good word about new and exciting products in each and every newsletter. We also will give staff reviews of featured products to help you pick out a new beer, wine or cigar. In future issues we will also delve into informative articles so we all can better understand the contributing factors involved in bringing us our favorite wine.

Featured Newsletter Beer(s) for March 2008

For the month of March, we will try something a little different. It is the time of year where we look forward to warmer weather and a change in our beer. It is time to change over to the spring time beer from the heavier beers of winter.

At Westside Liquor, we try to be on top of having the first beers of the season available for the consumer. The freshest beer available so you can enjoy the best flavor and aroma the beer has to offer.

With that, I would like to tell you about a couple of our early spring offerings:

Summit Maibock: This is a full bodied lager beer that uses Czech hops, specialty malts and German yeast.

Sierra Nevada ESB(Early Spring Beer): Usuallay, ESB is associated with Extra Special Bitter but Sierra Nevada is offering a beer with English tradition with west coast style. They blend English barley with English and U.S. hops and leave the beer unfiltered for a more full balanced beer.

Samuel Adams White Ale: This is an unfiltered version of the classic Belgian Wit Beer style with their own twist. They blend orange and lemon peel, dried plum, grains of paradise, coriander, anise, hibiscus, rose hips, tamarind, and vanilla for a most refreshing spring beer.

Blue Moon Rising Moon: New to the spring lineup, Blue Moon Brewing Company has added their first spring beer. They have brewed an amber wheat beer with the addition of Kieffer lime and lime peel. Try it for something new.

This is just the beginning of the spring beers coming to market. With the changing of the season, there is always a changing of the beer. Westside Liquor will do our best to have all new spring beers as soon as they are available. If there is a beer you are looking for, please ask and we will do everything we can to locate that beer for you. Happy Spring!!
