When Robert Levin took over his fathers smoke shop, he had big things in mind. Namely, founding a brand that focused on great flavor and quality. It was with these ideals that the Ashton dream was hatched, but to make this cigar a success Robert knew he would need the help of one of the best men in the business, Carlos Fuente. The Fuente Family has a long and prestigious history in the Dominican Republic. Currently they are one of the best known makers of cigars in the world and their brands rank amongst the most exclusive, rare, and hard to find. With Fuente's expertise in tobacco and Levin's keen business sense, the two became partners and made cigar history.

Ashton cigars are offered in four very different and distinct blends of cigar leafs and aging periods. Each Ashton cigar travels through an endless array of quality control inspections at the Fuente factory. These standards for quality control are unequaled by any other manufacturer.



For many, the holiday season is nothing but running here and there. Where is the time to sit down with a nice hot drink and a cigar to sooth the soul?  Well this month I had the privilege to sit down with the Ashton Prime Minister, with its rich golden Connecticut wrapper and Dominican fillers I was in for a treat.
After the lighting process I quickly found out why this would be a perfect cigar for the holidays. The first part of the cigar was a bit spicy with tastings of clove and cinnamon but not shortly afterword it mellowed to a pleasant cedar and cream with a plume of thick smoke. After a while, when creeping to the end of the cigar it really lights up, with a spicy finish of earthy wood and cinnamon. Over all I think that it is a great cigar and it is on sale this month for $9.99 you cannot go wrong.
