January is upon us and there is no better time to smoke a cigar, but when temperature drops below zero, I do not really want to be out there three hours to finish my church hill cigar. This month I picked the Arturo Fuente Hemingway Best Seller. This cigar measures 4 ½ inches and has a 55 ring gauge. These little cigars are limited production and sit in the aging rooms all year and usually released around the holidays, something special for our fellow cigar smokers to enjoy. The Hemingway cigar line, introduced in the mid 80's is the crown jewel of the Fuentes. The best seller is among the smaller cigars in the line, but all feature the same blend of West African Cameroon wrapper and Dominican filler and binder, but the various sizes and shapes will influence the taste of each.
 

Looking over the cigar itself the wrapper is almost flawless and smells of sweet rich tobacco. The pre-light draw was firm and really giving you that sweet Cameroon taste up front. The first third of the cigar boasts a smooth medium-bodied smoke with a little pepper on the finish. The aroma was of cedar and kind of nuttiness. Getting into the second third, you get the same cedar but there is a spice that starts to develop. The spice is not overwhelming but defiantly there. Now getting in to the last third of this cigar there gets to be a little burnt sweet coffee is the only way I can describe it really I nice touch to the end of the this little cigar.
 

Overall, this little cigar packs a big punch and in my humble opinion blows the competition away. This cigar had a near perfect burn a great flavor profile without sacrificing smoothness. If there is, one thing that I could say about it is that it was over to soon, but since it was only six degrees outside it was not a bad thing.
