CAO Eileen's Dream
Fishing is just getting started for the year and what better way to start that with some good cigars. This month I am reviewing one of CAO's flavored cigars. The Eileen's dream is a combination of Irish cream and white chocolate truffles blended with the finest Dominican tobaccos and all wrappedup in a Cameroon wrapper.
Looking over the cigar, I will point out that, they come in a tin of ten and are all individually wrapped to maintain freshness. That said the cigars themselves. One thing that I did notice is that these are bigger than most of your cigarillos measuring at four inches long with a size 30 ring gauge. The pre light on the cigar boasts a nice semi sweet aroma of tobaccos and Irish cream/whiskey but not overpowering like some flavored cigars.
Getting on with the smoke, the first thing that you will notice is that the flavors do not in any way over power this cigar. I did not notice any extra sugars in or on the cigar, which is a nice change since almost all flavored cigars that I have tried are dipped in sugar to sweeten them. One thing to remember with this cigar is not to over draw this little cigar or you will miss the flavors in it. The flavor that got throughout the cigars is cream and vanilla as well as whiskey and kind of an almond flavor.
Looking back on this cigar, I would have to say this is one of the best cigarillos that I have had for three reasons. First, the flavor profile was completely smooth with the perfect amount of flavoring to complement the Cameroon wrapper. Secondly, I was very surprised on the burn time 20 to 25 minutes for a cigarillo! Thirdly, they come in a tin of ten so you can easily share with friends, which is exactly what I did.
