Helix x652

            With mother's day just a few days away and summer right around the corner, it is perfect time to share and teach friends about cigars. One way to do this is to let them try a cigar that almost everyone will enjoy. Therefore, this month I am reviewing the Helix X652; this cigar features a beautiful Connecticut Shade wrapper that holds together a blend of tobaccos from four different countries. This blend has proven to be a mild, relaxing, flavorful blend for all of the seasoned and just starting out cigar smokers that enjoy a smooth cigar.

            Looking over the cigar, I found that the Helix has very small veins throughout the wrapper and has a nice light oily sheen to it. The cigar itself seems to be pretty well constructed; I did not find any soft spots in the cigar. After I punched the end of the cigar you will notice that the draw is very open and you get a nice light floral sent from the cigar.

            Through the first third of the cigar the flavors that got from it was a very nutty and creamy smoke. The smoke itself was not a thick heavy smoke but a nice and light and airy. The ash on this cigar is light grey silver in color, is very compact, and sticks with the cigar for a good 3\4's of an inch.

            The flavors remained the same throughout the next third; one thing that I did notice is that the cigar stated to have a dryness to it. Therefore, I took my father's advice that I will now pass on to you that is with a cigar that is light bodied like this one a great paring is a nice cup of coffee.  The coffee worked great to complementing the nuttiness and taking away the dryness that I was getting from the cigar.

            Finishing the cigar, the burn was great, not bad timing on an hour and forty-five minutes about. This cigar remained true to its reputation for a mild creamy smoke, perfect with your afternoon cup of coffee and to share with friends and family.
