H. Upmann Coronas Major

Well I hate to say it but September is here and the summer went way to fast, but the good news is that the weather should start to mild out and the fall is the absolute perfect time to smoke a cigar in central Minnesota. This month I decided to review a brother to JFK's most beloved Cuban Upmann corona that is rumored that he bought 1,200 of the night before the signing of the Cuban Embargo in 1962. Therefore, here is the Dominican brother the H. Upmann Corona Major Cigar.

             Thing that you will notice about this cigar is that it comes in a cedar lined metal tube with a cork seal to lock in freshness were ever you go. Looking over this cigar it has a gorgeous Indonesian shade wrapper with 100% Dominican tobaccos inside.

            Getting on to the smoke the cigar starts off with a strong cedar taste with is to be expected from the cedar lighting of the tube which does not last long the fist third of this cigar I did not get much other than a little vanilla tobacco taste. As the cigar progressed through the next third you really, start to pick up a deep coffee flavor almost like a bitter espresso with that vanilla remaining in the background.

This cigar I smoked right down to the nub, a very cool burning cigar. Overall, I would classify this as a mild to medium bodies cigar that is defiantly worth buying. The entire time I got out of this cigar was about 45 min just perfect for sitting outside with friends. So this fall do not forget to pick up JFK's favorite cigar and remember the good times in life.
