Beaujolais and Rosé
|
If your searching for a wine to grab that pairs well with almost anything and won't break the bank, look no further. Two styles of wines that fit the bill are your Beaujolais and Rosé. These are wines that will marry well with Fish, Pork, Chicken and Beef. What makes these wines so food friendly you ask? Its their body style, fruitiness, moderate alcohol level, low tannins and little or no oak. Rosé and Beaujolais are wines that need to be chilled. If you have a spicy dish and want to tame the heat try a off-dry Rosé like a White Merlot or White Shiraz. Here are some fun wines to search out.
Louis LaTour Beaujolais-Villages - great with chicken off the grill.
Banrock Station White Shiraz - try this with a spicy pork dish.
B&G Beaujolais-Villages - light enough to go with a fish dish in a cream sauce.
San Maurice Syrah Rosé - this is the most tasty Californian Rosé to hit my lips in six months. Check it out.
Come on in to a Westside Liquor store nearest you and we'll find a wine to suit your palate. Hope you enjoy and until next time remember to "keep one hand on the corkscrew and the other on the bottle".
Arrivederci! Jeff
