Bella Bella Italy

Imagine you’re driving a small sports car up and down winding roads in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. You look around and all you see is vineyards and an ancient castle on hilltop far in the distance. The sunshine beating down on your body has never felt so soothing and inviting. This is the essence of Tuscany and the place where all of the famous Brunellos and Chiantis are made into some of the best wines in the world. The perfect climate, soil, and position of the vineyards is what makes the terroir of a place like Montalcino great. I recently was in Tuscany tasting some of these wines and here is a list of some of these gems.

Castello Banfi Rosso Di Montalcino - great with a grilled pork dish with some parmesiano.

San Michele a Tori Chianti Classico - try with some gnocchi in a red sauce.

Monti Antico - excellent with spaghetti and meatballs.

Castello Banfi Poggio Alle Mura Brunello - sings in the mouth like Pavarotti.

Stop on by a Westside Liquor nearest you and pick up some Tuscan sunshine. Until next time remember to "keep one hand on the corkscrew and the other on the bottle".

Arrivederci!
