What's the difference between Shiraz and Syrah
|
People ask me everyday what's the difference between Shiraz and Syrah. The only difference is the spelling. In France they call it the Syrah and in Australia they call it the Shiraz. This grape varietal is spicy and peppery , with a lot of yummy fruit. Australia is producing some incredible Shiraz and you can find great quality with superb value almost anywhere in our country. Our own U.S.A. is also producing incredible Shiraz and Syrah from California and the Pacific North West. France also is giving of great bangs for the buck from the Rhone region.
