Hot Toddy
Coat the bottom of the serving mug with the honey.

Ingredients:
1-ounce brandy
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 lemon
1 cup boiling water
1 tea bag
Directions:
Coat the bottom of the serving mug with the honey. Add brandy and the juice from the quarter lemon. Add the tea bag to the boiling water. Once the tea is ready to pour into the serving mug. Serve hot.

Hurricane
The drink known to most tourists in New Orleans is the Hurricane Cocktail. During celebrations (and celebrations seem to be every night in the New Orleans French quarter), tourists carry their “to go” hurricane drinks with them. In New Orleans, you can carry your drink out of a bar and down the street, even into another bar. Hurricanes are also the cocktail of choice during Mardi Gras when thousands come to parade and party.

Isolation Caramel Popcorn

Ingredients:
Popped corn
Spicy ail mix, your favorite brand
Caramel sauce
1 c brown sugar
1 T butter
½ c Isolation Ale
Cayenne pepper to taste
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and Isolation Ale and allow to come to a bowl. Once the sugar completely dissolves and the caramel reaches the softball stage (check by drizzling a small amount over an ice cube, the caramel should become thick and soft) remove from the stove and add cayenne pepper to taste. Mix the popcorn and spicy ail mix together and spread onto a greased baking sheet. Drizzle the Isolation caramel over the popcorn and trail mix.

Italian Sparkling Citrus Punch
Punch for the party!!

Ingredients:
1 cup vodka
1 1/2 cups simple syrup
1 1/2 cups lemoncello
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 750 ml bottle of Prosecco
Directions:
Stir all ingredients except the Prosecco together in a glass punch bowl. Cover and refrigerate for two hours. Add the Prosecco and an ice block just before serving.

Italian Sunrise

Jack’d Up Glazed Beer Nuts
Made with Third Street Brewhouse Jack’d Up Autumn Ale

Ingredients:
2 cups of raw almonds
2 cups of raw peanuts
2 cups white sugar
1 cup Jack’d Up Autumn Ale
1 tsp. salt
Pinch of salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a medium to large pot place nuts, sugar, ½ tsp. salt and Jack’d Up beer. Place a pot on high heat and stir until the mixture comes to a boil. Once it comes to a boil turn down the heat to medium and stir (10-20 min.); until the syrup is almost dissolved (the syrup should be an inch to half-inch from the pot), once it is almost done sprinkle another ½ tsp. of salt and stir. Place nuts on a baking sheet and spread with a spatula, place in the oven for 10 minutes. Take nuts out and add a pinch of salt and stir nuts and place back in the oven for another 10 minutes. Once done let cool and separate nuts.

Jack’d Up Pumpkin Pancakes

Ingredients:
2 cups white flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon cornmeal
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ teaspoon ginger
¼ teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
⅛ teaspoon cloves
¼ teaspoon salt
¾ cup pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon agave nectar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
12 ounces (one bottle) Jack’d Up Autumn Ale
1 tablespoon margarine
Directions:
Combine the flour, baking powder, cornmeal, brown sugar, spices, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir together the dry ingredients. Make a well in the middle and add the pumpkin, agave nectar, vanilla, milk, and Jack’d Up Autumn Ale craft beer. Mix until just combined. Preheat your pans at medium heat. Rub some margarine on one of the pans and melt the rest in the other. Pour melted margarine into the pancake batter and stir until combined. Pour about ¼ cup of batter (or any size you’d like) onto each pan. Flip when bubbles start to form and hold their shape. All pancake batters cook a bit differently. Repeat until all the batter is gone.

Jack’d Up Pumpkin Spice Beer Bread

Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon allspice
½ cup chopped nuts
1 12oz bottle of Jack’d Up Autumn Ale
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9”x5” loaf pan. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, nuts, and all the spices together until well combined. Make a well in the center of the bowl and pour in the Jack’d Up Autumn Ale. The beer will foam up –this is good. Carefully fold the dry ingredients into the center of the well. Mix only until just combined – do not over mix or it will destroy the bubbles and the bread will be dense. Pour the dough into loaf pan gently smooth out the top with a spatula. Bake in the oven for 50 – 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the dough comes out clean.

1 Dial fresh ginger

.5 oz Simple syrup
Dash of Angostura Bitters
Directions:
Muddle ginger in the bottom of a pint glass, add the rest of the ingredients plus ice and Shake. drain over fresh ice and garnish with a lime wheel.

Jambalaya
Made with Alaskan IPA

Ingredients:
1 lb smoked sausage
¼ coil
1 LG onion, chopped
2 stalks of celery, chopped
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 c rice, uncooked
1 bottle Alaskan IPA
½ c water
Salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper, to taste
Directions:
Cut sausage into bite-size pieces and brown in a Dutch oven with oil. Add the next 3 ingredients and cook until the onions are translucent. Add rice, water, and IPA; cover to cook. You may either continue to cook on the stove or transfer to a 350° oven. Stir frequently. If rice is not cooked once all of the liquid is absorbed, add extra beer and continue cooking until the rice is done. Garnish with fresh parsley and chopped green onion.
