Kiwi Masquerade
Enjoy this cocktail with Ketel One Vodka

Ingredients:
1 oz Ketel One Vodka
1 oz Domaine de Canton
1 whole Kiwi, peeled
1 small Egg White
.5 oz fresh Lemon Juice
.25 - .5 oz Simple Syrup
Directions:
In a mixing glass muddle Kiwi until pulpy. Add remaining ingredients (use less simple if your Kiwi is sweet and slightly more if tart) and give a vigorous dry shake. Add ice and shake again for 30 seconds. drain into a V-glass. Garnish: A slice of Kiwi

Knob Creek Manhattan

Ingredients:
2 parts Knob Creek Bourbon
½ part sweet vermouth
½ part dry vermouth
1 dash bitters
Maraschino cherry for garnish
Directions:
Fill mixing glass with ice. Add Knob Creek, vermouths and bitters. Stir and pour into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a Maraschino cherry.

5 Parts Vodka
2 Parts Cherry Brandy
1 Part Sweet Vermouth
1 Peel Orange
Directions:
Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with orange.

La Paloma

6 oz Grapefruit juice
Juice from 1/2 a lime
Directions:
Rim a Collins glass with salt. Fill glass with ice. Pour the ingredients over the ice, stir briefly to incorporate ingredients. Garnish with a wedge of me and enjoy it immediately.

Lava Flow
An island favorite for sitting in the sun, the lava flow is a combination of fresh strawberry purée, coconut, pineapple juice and rum (for flavor). You can make the strawberry purée ahead of time and use leftovers on pancakes or ice cream.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. light rum
2 oz. Pineapple Juice
1 oz. Cream of Coconut
1/2 Banana
1/4 cup Strawberry Puree*
1/2 cup crushed ice
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in an electric blender with cup ice. Blend 20–30 seconds. Pour strawberry purée into a hurricane or collins glass. Follow with the blended mixture. This creates flow. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and paper umbrella (of course!) *Strawberry purée Ingredients: 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries ¼ cup sugar Water, as needed Directions: Mash strawberries and sugar together and heat in a saucepan over medium heat. stir until blended and syrupy, add water if it is too stiff.

2 - 3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce

Combine and marinate steak.

Lost Trout Venison Steak

Ingredients:
2 lbs venison steak
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 bottles of Lost Trout Brown Ale
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons molasses
Directions:
Place venison in a large bowl and pour Lost Trout Brown Ale over it. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator overnight. Next, remove venison and pat dry, then pour Lost Trout Brown Ale, sugar and molasses in a saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring it until sugar dissolves. Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper and place in a large heavy skillet, and then pour the Lost Trout Brown Ale mixture over it. Cover with a lid and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, or until tender.

Lotus Cocktail
Made with Hendrick’s Gin

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Hendrick's Gin
3/4 oz Domaine de Canton
4 thin slices of cucumber
2 oz club soda
Directions:
Pre-chill a cocktail glass and set aside. Cut three slices of cucumber into quarters and muddle in a mixing glass with the Canton. After sufficiently pulverized, add Hendrick's and a level scoop of ice. shake for about 15 seconds. drain carefully into pre-chilled glass care to mit the amount of pulp. Add soda to the icy, crushed cucumber mixture. Swirl and drain again. Garnish with the remaining cake slice.

Love Potion #5

1/2 oz. cherry liqueur
1/4 oz. Campari
2 dashes Bitters
1 bar spoon cherry syrup
1 cherry as a garnish
Directions:
Combine the liquid ingredients in a mixing glass and stir with ice to chill. drain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a cherry.

2 oz. Strawberry Full Throttle S’loonshine
1 oz. Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur
½ cup fresh Strawberries
A scoop of vanilla ice cream
½ cup ice
Strawberry for garnish
Directions:
Pour ingredients into a blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a strawberry. If it is too thick add some more berries or milk. If it is too thin add ice or ice cream.

1 Part Soda Water

1 slice Mango
Mint Leaf
Directions:
Stir lime juice and sugar, superfine in a chilled highball glass. Add mint leaf. Muddle. Fill with crushed ice. Add ABSOLUT Mango. Stir. Fill with crushed ice. Top up with soda water. Garnish with mint leaf and mango.

Manhattan
The classic bourbon cocktail

1-3/4 parts Jim Beam Bourbon
3/4 Sweet vermouth
dash bitters
cherry
Directions:
Add ¾ part sweet vermouth to 1¾ parts Jim Beam Bourbon in a manhattan glass. Add a cherry. Optional; add 1 dash bitters. Enjoy.

Manhattan Eastside

Mardi Gras Bloody Mary
But no matter how you like your Bloody Mary, there is no denying that it is the classic cure for a hangover! Bloody Mary’s are often enjoyed at brunches around New Orleans. The Bloody Mary can also be enjoyed without the vodka. The non-alcoholic version is called a “Virgin Mary,” or to some a “Bloody Shame!”

Ingredients:
2-½ oz. Vodka
1 ½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2-3 drops of Tabasco sauce
1/8 tsp. Celery Salt
4 oz. Tomato juice
1 Lime wedge
1 Lemon wedge
1 Celery stalk
Directions:
Combine Vodka, spices, and tomato juice into a highball glass full of ice. Shake well and squeeze the lemon and lime and add the celery stalk as a garnish. Serves 1. Some other garnishes used in New Orleans besides celery include olives, spicy beans, green peppers, and even crawfish! Everyone in New Orleans has their favorite way a Bloody Mary should be made. Some like their drink extra spicy and add lots more spices in the drink as well as around the rim of the glass. Another way to spice it up is to use Pepper Vodka instead of regular. To give the Bloody Mary a more citrus flavor, Lemon Vodka can be substituted as well. Other people add clam juice, horseradish sauce, or olive juice to mix up their Bloody Mary.

Ingredients:
1 ice ring
1 (40-ounce) bottle grape juice
1 (48-ounce) can unsweetened pineapple juice
1 (2-ter) bottle lemon-lime soft drink
1 fifth vodka (750ml), or more, to taste
2 oranges or lemons
2 limes
Directions:
Place ice ring at the bottom of a punch bowl. Add liquids in the order given. Float slices of oranges and limes on top. makes about 65 one-half cup servings (8-9 quarts). Adds to the fun in ue Carnival colors of purple, green and gold!

Mardi Gras Mint Juleps
The Mint Julep is a powerful yet refreshing drink that is often enjoyed during the daytime or early evening in the hot summer months of New Orleans.

Ingredients:
3 oz. Bourbon
1 tsp. simple syrup or 1 tsp. refined sugar
10-15 large fresh mint leaves
Crushed ice
Directions:
In a Collins glass, put in all but 2 of the mint leaves. Then add the simple syrup. (If you choose to use refined sugar, add a splash of water in the glass as well.) Next, muddle the sugar and mint leaves in the bottom of the glass. Fill the glass with crushed ice and then add the bourbon. Gently stir the drink and then garnish with the leftover mint leaves. Serves 1.
